With these two screenings we want to share the work of our friends from the Ukrainian film collective Freefilmers. Freefilmers is a union of like-minded filmmakers, making work which focuses on human life, struggle for equality and freedom. The organisation promotes independent filmmaking in Ukraine, especially in its eastern part, and works towards the decentralisation of cultural processes. Currently, they are organising different forms of resistance against the ongoing Putinist invasion and occupation. 

These are very special screenings of short films by Ukrainian collective Freefilmers & friends to support the community of underground artists and cultural workers who suffer from Putinist Russia’s aggression. The money is needed for relocation to safer places, medical help and basic needs.

Access:
The event takes place on the ground floor. The RET building has two steps leading up to the front door. Films will be subtitled in English; unfortunately we don’t have closed captions available for this screening.
