For her video, An Inflamed Appeal (all the world may not love a lover), Schot paid a pornographic production company to perform her sexless script. She composed the dialogue using the wisdom hidden in fortune cookies. Based on a non-linear story of an American couple living in their bleak home, it touches on the themes of heterosexuality, loss of identity in love, porn culture, fetishes, alienation and American television. As more and more websites are created to fulfill individual desires, this work investigates the new monetary possibility of fulfilling personal fantasies online.
